Terms of sale
Algemene voorwaarden
These terms apply to every order placed on this site. They are written as questions because that is how they get asked. Nothing here limits the rights Dutch consumer law gives you; where the two disagree, the law wins.
Who are these terms between?
Between you, the person placing the order, and SOCK MY FEET B.V., registered at Hoogstraat 24B03, 3862 AL Nijkerk, Nederland, KvK-nummer 72600446, BTW-identificatienummer [to be completed by the operator]. Doosje is the name this shop trades under.
A box means one of the forty products listed on this site. A pair means one pair of socks inside a box. A set means a product that contains several separate boxes. Sealed means an individual pair delivered inside a closed bag; a paper band or a swing tag is not a seal, and the outer box is not a seal.
When is the order actually made?
When we confirm it. Adding a box to your order and filling in your details does not form a contract; our confirmation does. If we cannot supply something you ordered, we tell you and refund that part in full rather than substituting it for something else.
You must be at least 13 to use this site, and if you are under 18 you need permission from whoever is responsible for you before ordering.
What do things cost, and in what currency?
- Every price on this site is in USD. There is no currency switch.
- Dutch BTW at 21% is included in the displayed price where it applies, rather than being added at the end.
- Standard shipping is $9 per destination and is included on any destination receiving $60 or more of goods.
- If you send boxes to several addresses in one order, shipping is worked out per address and each one is listed separately before you pay.
- Import duties and taxes outside the EU are not included and are not something we can calculate for you. They are charged by the destination country to whoever receives the parcel.
How do discounts and struck-through prices work?
- When we show a struck-through price, that figure is the lowest price we charged in the 30 days before the reduction. If a product does not meet that test, no struck-through price is shown at all.
- The first-order code is FIRSTBOX. It takes 10% off the goods in one order, once per customer, cannot be combined with another code, does not apply to shipping, and has no cash value.
- We do not run countdowns and we do not display invented stock levels. Nothing here will ever tell you this is your last chance before a holiday. Where a dispatch cut-off date matters, we state the date as a fact.
- We do not issue gift cards, vouchers, store credit or loyalty points, so none of the rules about those apply here.
Can I cancel? Can you?
You can. Before dispatch, write to us and we cancel the order and refund it in full, usually the same working day. After delivery you have the separate statutory right of withdrawal, which is described in full under herroepingsrecht.
We can too, in narrow cases: if a price or a description on this site was plainly wrong, if we cannot supply the goods, or if an order is clearly fraudulent. If we cancel, we refund everything you paid within 14 days and we do not charge you anything for it.
There is nothing on this site that renews. No subscription, no monthly plan, no membership and no automatic payment, so there is no recurring arrangement for either of us to end.
How do I pay?
Your details are collected and checked first, and payment opens after that. We never ask for card details by email or by phone. Payment is handled by a regulated payment provider and we do not store card numbers ourselves.
Ownership of the goods passes to you when payment clears. Risk passes to you when the parcel is handed to you or to someone you nominated to receive it.
When does it arrive?
We dispatch within one to two working days. Transit time depends on the destination and is listed per zone under verzending en retour. Everything in an order leaves in one dispatch, including sets going to several addresses. We never split an order across weeks or months.
If we cannot deliver within 30 days and have not agreed a longer period with you, you can cancel and we refund in full.
What if the goods are not right?
Then they are not in conformity and that is our problem to fix, not yours to absorb. The detail is under garantie en conformiteit. In short: your rights under Dutch law are not limited to a fixed number of years, and any commercial guarantee we offer sits on top of them rather than replacing them.
What are you not responsible for?
- We are responsible for the goods being what we described and for delivering them. Where the law makes us liable, we are liable, and nothing in these terms reduces that.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit, or for the reaction of the person you sent a box to. We do not promise anyone will like it.
- We are not liable for delays caused by carriers, customs, strikes or weather, beyond refunding you if the goods never arrive.
- Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Are there places you will not ship to?
Yes. We ship to the countries listed at checkout only. We do not ship to countries subject to trade sanctions that apply to us, and we do not ship to freight forwarders acting as an onward export route. Socks are ordinary consumer textiles and carry no export licence requirement in themselves; the restriction is about who and where, not what.
What do you do with my details?
Only what is needed to fulfil the order, plus marketing if you separately asked for it. Addresses you give us for other people are used to ship and nothing else: they are never added to a mailing list and are kept for no more than twelve months. The full account is under privacy.
Can you change these terms?
We can change them for future orders. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you place it, and we keep the date of the last change at the top of this page. We do not apply changes retrospectively to an order already confirmed.
